Lady Eagles Basketball All-District Honorees
The entire Lady Eagles basketball team won UIL 18-5A All-District awards this season! The head coaches of District 18-5A collaborated to choose the official All-District selections. We are very proud of our honorees for their hard work and dedication both on and off the field.
Senior forward, Janell Welcome, was named All-District Second Team, and five Lady Eagles were named All-District Honorable Mention: junior guard Avery Adams, freshman forward Erin Jameson, sophomore guard Alexa McDonald, senior point guard Hannah Reeves, and freshman point guard Paisley Smith.
Every player on the team earned the distinction of Academic All-District: Avery Adams, Justice Gabaldon, Erin Jameson, Kamry Masters, Alexa McDonald, Jordan Medina, Hannah Reeves, Olivia Seguin, Paisley Smith, Janell Welcome, and Koreena Whited.
In order to earn Academic All-District, a player must maintain an average GPA of at least 90. The Lady Eagles were the only team in the district in which the entire team earned Academic All-District.
At the end of the season Award Banquet on March 27, 2021, several players earned team distinctions as well.
